Not only are the views absolutely breathtaking, but Keukenhof is also one of the world's largest flower gardens 🌷—a floral paradise that left me utterly enchanted. I had the incredible privilege of exploring its wonders in both 2022 and 2023, and let me tell you, there's truly nothing quite like it. The vibrant colors, the meticulously curated displays—each visit feels like stepping into a living masterpiece 🖼️. If I had my way, I'd make it an annual tradition without a second thought.

My first visit (shown above) was in 2022 at the end of March. As you can imagine, not very many tulips were in bloom quite yet 💐. However, Keukenhof isn't for tulips only! Daffodils, crocuses, and hyacinths are early blooming bulbs that bloom around that time and are still quite beautiful 🌼.
The best part was that even though we had arrived before peak season, they still had a warehouse full of tulips! So, we were able to see all the varieties in bloom. It was such a pleasant surprise and made me very happy 🥰. You can't go to Keukenhof and not see tulips!
I believe the building was called the Willem-Alexander.
Disclaimer: I do not know that they do this every season. This happened in late March when they first opened. When I visited in early May last year, this building was decorated differently and there were no row-like displays like the one shown above.
That is the wonderful thing about Keukenhof. It's forever changing throughout the season, and the artistic displays change year to year as well. There is always something new to see 💯!

You'll find several shops throughout the park 🛍️. Some do offer different things than others. However, at the entrance, they do have a giant store full of goods and flowers bulbs that you don't want to miss on your way out!
You can take a boat audio tour through the fields 🚣.
Or rent bikes and ride on a pre-planned route 🚲!
I really reallyyy want to go back and do this in better weather! It rained almost the entire time when Nichole and I went in 2023 ☔. You can't necessarily tell in the photo, but we were pretty soaked here 💦. We made the best of it of course, and had lots of fun, but there was no escaping the rain and inevitable soaking!
There's even a guided tour offered on the website as well.
If you are an orchid lover 🌸, the Beatrix Pavillion has it all!
Tropical beauty in every nook and cranny 🌺.
Food on the grounds is meh 🥐...
Don't eat a full meal there. Just snack on some smaller things. Everything that I have tried so far has been passable, but nothing to rave over.
However, do be sure to get a freshly made stroopwafel! These thin wafer-like cookies, made from sweet dough, are held together by a sweet caramel-like filling 🤤. Sometimes they are freshly made on the spot which is what you want. Delicious, warm, sweet and gooey. This Dutch cultural experience is something you don't want to miss 😍!
I believe a stand can be found near the windmill.
There's so much to this park, it would take me all day to mention it all. My only suggestion is to put it on your bucket list, make plans one day, and go ✈️!
I would say the safest time period would probably be around mid-April if you want to catch the tulips in full bloom 🌷. In early March of 2022, the tulips were just starting to bloom and in early May of 2023, many of the flowers had begun to wilt and die.
Like I said though, there really isn't a bad time of year to visit the park. It's beautiful in varying ways throughout 👌.
Just be sure to pack waterproof shoes, clothes, an umbrella, and maybe even a poncho! It's spring, so rain is always on the forecast 🌧️.
If you are looking for a unique place to stay nearby, this Airbnb was awesome 🏨. They have several options on site, and we really loved it. It's about a 20-minute drive to the garden.
This one above sleeps 6 and is a little over $200 per night 🙌. Which is a steal if you are sharing 👭!
It might be a little cramped with 6. However, the grounds are very extensive, and if the weather is nice, you have the option to escape to the outdoors for a little more privacy.
Another suggestion would be to visit the Tulip Barn nearby if you want to take fun photos 🌷!
They have all kinds of props throughout the field for you to stop at and a small café-like building next door. We had lots of fun running around posing at the various stations 📸!
Most of the tulips were dying off (as you can see), and it was raining, so the workers there let us in for free (winning).
It was literally the last day they were open, so we got lucky in a way 🙌!
I do want to take a moment to mention that you won't only find fields of tulips at Keukenhof itself. They can be found all over the Netherlands during this time of year 🌹!
There's even a flower parade called the Bollenstreek, around mid-April you can add to your itinerary 🎊! If you do, I would personally opt to book a covered stand to watch the parade from 👀. I did this for Oktoberfest this past year and enjoyed knowing that I had a secured spot to watch the parade from (and somewhere to sit)👌!
