NEW TO THE KMC

I wish I had done this when I first arrived. They provide helpful introduction courses about life here as an Air Force spouse in Germany.

Check out the USO center's website nearest you to see what they offer. Currently, Kaiserslautern offers a military spouse coffee connection, a pathfinder transition program, a reading program, entertainment, and more.

She offers many services, including relocation assistance, real estate advice, translation, business registration, USO Host Nation Advisor, and German Language & Culture Training. She offers a $350 (one-time fee) Welcome Package. For the first two months, she helps with communicating with German companies and landlords, residency registration, possible insurance needed, getting your utilities set up, and more! 

Some suggestions if you want to take German classes during your stay. Of course you can also use programs such as Duolingo, Rosetta Stone, and Babbel if you'd prefer to do so individually from the comfort of your home.
